The internet has made it easier for us to access information but also created new forms of disinformation. The ‘fake news’ has become an integral, toxic element of the public debate. We begin with an overview of the contexts in which it is created and distributed – political, commercial, technological, and psychological. During the workshops, we are going to practice recognising fake news and explore the ways of preventing their dissemination. The meeting ends with group work – the participants will have to verify each other’s news.
